Yes, we are happy to deliver any machine anywhere in the country. However, delivery and collection charges are calculated based on mileage, so short-term hires may not make economic sense if the distance is too great

We charge a flat rate of £30 for delivery and £30 for collection for all machines suitable for trailer transportation within a 15-mile radius of our NN18 depot. A further charge of £2 per mile will be added to all hires outside this area.

Larger machines requiring haulage transportation are quoted at the point of enquiry.

Yes, that’s not usually a problem. However, we would suggest 24-hour notice if possible to ensure availability.

No, but we will do everything possible to ensure your delivery is precisely as specified.

Yes, insurance is mandatory. Contractors will probably find that their insurance covers the hired-in plant, but you will need to show proof that it covers the full value of the machine.

Yes, we offer two levels of insurance. One that covers fire and theft only, and one that also includes cosmetic damage. If hiring an operator and plant package, you will only need to take out the primary fire and theft insurance since all our operators carry insurance against accidental damage.

The cost of insurance obviously depends on the value of the machine. To give you an idea, the minimum level is £30 per week, which covers machines up to a value of £20,000.

Yes, but we would ask that you give us 24-hour notice of your wish to change.

No, providing that the home or property owner is happy that the operator is competent.

When you make your booking, we will require prepayment plus a deposit of £250. We will also need proof of your identity (passport, driving licence or CitizenCard) and address (for example, a recent bank statement or utility bill). Deposits are refunded after the machine is collected and checked.

No, all payments must be made by bank transfer, debit or credit card.

Anyone hiring a machine must be 18 years or older.

We have found JCB excavators, dumpers, telehandlers and rollers provide exceptional performance, durability and reliability. Also JCB is a British company with extensive manufacturing facilities in Britain. If all else were equal, we would always buy from a British manufacturer for practical and ethical reasons.

All or machines run on ‘white’ diesel. Under no circumstances is red diesel to be used in our machines.
